BA Acting

The goal of the BA Acting programme is to prepare you to be a working actor. You will emerge as a performer who is versatile and professional, with a solid background in various acting styles, a strong vocal and movement awareness, and a working knowledge performance for radio, television, and film. During your time with us, you’ll perform in everything from Shakespeare, to new work, to pantomime, on stage, screen, and radio, preparing you for any and all employment opportunities. Our students leave the Royal Conservatoire ready to take on the world and make their mark on it.

Our alumni work in theatre, television, film, radio, and education and community contexts. Some have continued to work as performers and others are now focusing on directing, producing, writing, or teaching. Wherever you career takes you, you will leave with a strong CV of work not only from the Royal Conservatoire, but also most likely with credits from other professional performing companies..

90% of students are employed or in further training within a year of their graduation, and some of our alumni have gone on to achieve international fame. Names you might know include:

You’re never going to go wrong; you’re not going to miss out on anything. It’s the best place to be if you want to be an actor. It offers everything; it’s not just a school of drama, it’s a school of education of the arts. Kevin Guthrie, BA Acting, Class of 2010
