Junior Academy of Music
Early Years
The Early Years music classes are aimed at children from 0 to 7 years old. Classes are
led by a team of professional Early Years Music Specialists, who will develop music and imaginative
skills whilst promoting social interaction and independence.
Each session follows the Kodály approach to experiential learning, using singing games and
rhymes as a basis for teaching the fundamental elements of music: pulse, rhythm, tempo and
dynamics. The use of additional resources such as puppets, balls or scarves ensures a fun and
interactive environment for children to experience musical activities.
