Bachelor of Education

This course is offered by the RSAMD in collaboration with the Faculty of Education,University of Glasgow  is designed primarily for students wishing to become classroom teachers of music in schools.  Click here to find out more about this course.

Composition

Conducting

Creative & Contextual Studies

Units of study offered by the department include the History of Western Music, Analysis, Aural Skills, Orchestration and Arranging, Electroacoustic Composition, Music Aesthetics, World Musics, and in conjunction with the Performance departments, units in Style in Performance. Jazz

Designed for students and undergraduate and postgraduate diploma and MMus levels, these specialist pathways for jazz musicians are created and led by the internationally renowned jazz saxophonist Tommy Smith and offers tuition from the best jazz musicians in Scotland.
