Scottish and other Non-UK EU Students – The Student Awards Agency for Scotland (SAAS) will pay tuition fees for all eligible full-time Scottish-based and other non-UK EU students, studying in Scotland, who are studying degree level for the first time. Students should apply to SAAS for payment of tuition fees even if they are not applying for any other means of support.
Students who have already received funding for a HND will not normally receive funding for the first year of a degree programme, but should be eligible for support for subsequent years. Applications can be made online and further details can be found on the SAAS website ( www.student-support-saas.gov.uk )
English, Welsh and Northern Irish Students – Students from England, Wales and Northern Ireland who intend to study in Scotland will be eligible for the same funding package that they would benefit from it they attended an institution in their home country. Significantly, variable top-up fees have not been introduced in Scotland.
Eligible students will be able to apply for a Student Loans for Fees to cover tuition fee costs. This means that they will not have to find the money before they start their programme of study or whilst they are studying, and the fees will be paid directly to the Academy, on their behalf. Students will repay these loans once they have left the Academy.

Student Loans – All UK students who are under 50 and meet the residence requirements are eligible to apply for a student loan. Applicants for loans should be made through SAAS, your Local Education Authority or Education and Library Board as appropriate. Further information regarding student loans is available from their website ( www.slc.co.uk )
International Students – In order to have leave to remain in the country to study, international students must provide evidence to show that they can support themselves in the UK. Otherwise, visa applications for entry clearance may not be granted. Further information for international students can be found at the British Council Website ( www.britishcouncil.org ) and the UKCISA website ( www.ukcisa.org.uk )
US Student Loans – US students may be eligible for a Stafford Loan, in addition to US Private Loans. Click here for more info
Scholarships – The Academy is able to offer a number of entrance scholarships which are awarded as part of the audition/selection process on the basis of merit. There is no need to apply for scholarships as all applicants are considered.
Scotland's Saltire Scholarships – This exciting scholarship opportunity is open to citizens of Canada, China, India or USA who have a conditional offer for a full-time Masters course offered at one of 18 Scottish institutions, including RSAMD.
