Stage Management Tutor
Central Production Unit
36 weeks per annum (annualised hours contract)
Salary Scale £22,236- £27,322 pro rata per annum
The Royal Scottish Academy of Music & Drama invites applicants for the position
of Stage Management Tutor. The post-holder will be responsible to the Central Production Unit (CPU) Manager(s) for ensuring the delivery of Academy Productions to a professional
standard. You will also provide tutoring and mentoring to the BA Technical and Productions
Arts students during their placement in the CPU.
You will possess an appropriate professional qualification to include
use of fire arms and hold a valid driving license. You will have significant and relevant
professional stage management experience and previous experience of mentoring/tutoring of stage
management. The ability to communicate effectively on all levels and to score read for Dance,
Musical and Opera productions is essential for this role.

Welfare and International Student Advisor
£22,236 - £27,322
You will be a motivated individual with excellent communication skills, responsible for
advising all students on welfare matters and supporting and advising international students prior
to and during their studies at the RSAMD.
You will be responsible for developing and promoting a welfare service and international
social and cultural programme for international students, including the running of workshops for
staff and students, and all operational aspects of the Visa, Home Office and Erasmus
procedures.
Ideally you will have some experience in working with international students and some
knowledge of visa / immigration regulations. Excellent interpersonal skills are essential, and a
good working knowledge of IT packages.

Part Time Hourly Paid Lecturer in the Department of Creative &
Contextual Studies (Community Music)
£35.18 per hour
The School of Music of the RSAMD is seeking a part-time hourly paid member of staff
to teach in the Department of Creative & Contextual Studies in the area of Community
Music. The successful candidate will work particularly on delivery and organizational aspects
of the Academy’s successful Community Music modules.
You should have professional experience as a practising musician and educator with
well-developed teaching and communication skills. You must also possess professional experience of
working in a variety of Community Music settings and a knowledge and experience of music education
nationally. An area of specialist expertise in music education would be desirable.

Part Time Hourly Paid Lecturer in the Department of Creative &
Contextual Studies

The School of Music of the RSAMD is seeking a part-time hourly paid member of staff
to teach in the Department of Creative & Contextual Studies on undergraduate programmes. The
successful candidate will work particularly on delivery of aspects of the BEd (Music) programme,
including Keyboard Skills and Aural Skills.
You should have professional experience as a practising musician and educator with
well-developed teaching and communication skills. You must also possess an interest in the
development of young people's potential along with knowledge and experience of music education
nationally. An area of specialist expertise in music education would be desirable.

Coordinator for Junior Academy of Music
Part Time Hourly Paid Contract, 10 hours per week
Fixed Term for one year, £35.18 per hour

We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed individual to coordinate the activities
and the curriculum for the Junior Academy of Music.
You should have professional experience as a practising musician with well-developed
teaching and communication skills, preferably at Conservatoire level. You must also possess an
interest and proven ability in the development of young people’s potential along with knowledge and
experience of music education. An area of specialist expertise as a performer and/or teacher is
required.
The successful candidate will work in close collaboration with the Dean of Music,
who retains overall responsibility for the Junior Academy provision.
You will provide coordination duties on one day per week (which can be flexible) and
on a Saturday, a total of 10 hours per week. The duties will be paid part-time hourly paid
basis.
