Access to Excellence ...

Dance at the Academy - the new weekly programme for children, young people and adults begins again on 12 September 2011 and includes health and well-being, dance and modern ballet classes; all taught by the best teachers the Academy has to offer ...

Drama Short Courses - for children, young people and adults are available in the evenings and at weekends.  Term begins again at the end of August and you can take part in an inspiring range of drama classes, intensive study weekends, summer schools or CPD events.   

Film Short Courses - booking is now open for Introduction to RED Camera and RED Digital Imaging Technician short courses in 2012 as well as CPD events in AVID and an introduction to cinematography.  Check out our new courses for young people interested in screenwriting, acting for camera and making short films too.

The Academy's FOCUS West Entry to the Creative Industries project encourages S5 and S6 pupils from 30 west of Scotland schools to consider their futures through further and higher education.  Our project is specifically concerned with young people considering a career in the performance and production arts.

Junior Academy of Music is the Academy's junior music school which runs on Saturday mornings. Junior Academy is aimed at talented individuals who audition for a place to fully develop their musical potential and students come from all over Scotland and the North of England.

Musicworks is the Academy's outreach programme for music training - supporting music participation through partnership wtih local authorities and community organisations.

Scottish Traditional Music Graded Exams are the Academy's programme of assessment in traditional Scottish music for young and adult learners. Our programme promotes traditional performance skills and the best of Scottish repertoire through a performance-based series of assessments true to the integrity of our musical heritage.
