FOCUS West

Entry to the Creative Industries

Phase three of FOCUS West has now begun and the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama is delighted to launch a new programme called Entry to the Creative Industries (production and performance) in keeping with the aims of the West Forum.

This programme will work with S5 and S6 pupils from the 29 FOCUS West schools with an interest in progressing to college, university or higher education institutions. 

Specific interests in courses relating to the performing arts industries including music, drama, dance, digital film, television, technical and production arts i.e. costume, sound, light or set design and stage management will be supported through their participation with this project.

Academy staff, in consultation with partner colleges, universities and students will engage with all FOCUS West secondary schools to deliver the activity described on these pages.
