Musicworks: Schools and other Stakeholders
Musicworks Centres also provided shorter-term programmes for primary and secondary school
support through projects designed to cover curriculum music at 5 – 14 and SQA Standard Grade to
Advanced Higher Level. Legacies are provided through these programmes by interactive class and
teacher packs and in-service training.
Throughout all of our work we operate in a way that strives to complement,
enhance and supplement local provision by:
- undertaking extensive consultation with all local agencies and interested parties;
- building on and working alongside existing local music provision;
- developing a flexible curriculum that can be varied according to local requirements;
- ensuring continual liaison with participants, parents, teachers and local community leaders;
- arranging regular performances and concerts;
- ensuring local people can have their say in the priorities of the project and assist with fundraising for extra curricular activities.
