The RSAMD has its own student accommodation. The Academy has taken a long term lease on a block of en-suite student bed/study rooms in Miller Street in Glasgow City Centre, a short distance from the institution. Details are contained in the Prospectus and the RSAMD website. A detailed contract will drawn up between each student occupying a room and the RSAMD. It is proposed that this accommodation will be available for conference and offer public letting during the summer vacation period. Details, including charges remain to be worked out. These will be published when arrangements for public letting have been agreed. |

14. Graduation Arrangements |

There will be two Graduation Days per year at the RSAMD. The first will take place in November. This will be for all masters degrees offered at the RSAMD and will be combined with the annual Fellowship ceremony. The second will take place in July. There will be 2 ceremonies on that day for all other degrees offered at the Academy. For academicsession 08/09, these dates are 20th November 2008 & 7th July 2009 Details of academic dress arrangements for graduands are contained in a memorandum sent to all graduands prior to the ceremonies. Attendance at all ceremonies is by ticket only and is limited to friends and families of those graduating. Photographs are arranged by the Students Union and details are published by the SU well in advance of each ceremony. |

Information on the availability and range of the Academy's welfare and advice services is given in: The Prospectus and the Website section on student support The RSAMD is a single building campus and facilities for students on site are limited. However, there are exclusive arrangements with neighbouring institutions to share sports and leisure facilities. These are set out in the Induction Handbook. Details of the careers service offered to students by the RSAMD are contained in the Student Handbook. The RSAMD does not have an integral Medical Centre. Students whose home is not in the Greater Glasgow area are encouraged to join the Woodside Health Centre, a local GP surgery, which provides primary health cover. Staff from Woodside attend Freshers' Week and students are free to join the practice if they wish. A system of referral to specialists and consultants is available for students who develop course-related illnesses or injuries. This service is free. Details are contained in the Induction Handbook.
