RSAMD Students Win Filmmaking Awards
Filmmakers from the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama have come out on top at an annual student awards ceremony last night (Wednesday, 27 January 2010) hosted by the Scottish branch of the Royal Television Society.
The awards - for work in factual filmmaking, plus also drama and animation - saw Louis Paxton, Stuart Ewan and Anna Chaney from RSAMD win out in the drama category, with 'Choreomania'.
Ken MacQuarrie, Director of BBC Scotland, presented the awards at the ceremony which was held in the University of Glasgow’s Gilmorehill Centre.
More than 30 filmmakers entered this year’s competition, and the winners now go forward to both the RTS UK Student Awards and the Celtic Media Festival.
