Sheena is a Flute tutor at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama.
 
Sheena studied at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama where she gained her DRSAM and won both the Flute and the Governor’s Recital Prize. Scholarships funded a post graduate year studying with Alain Marion at the Conservatoire Europeen de Musique in Paris.
 
She was a founder member of the Scottish Chamber Orchestra and played as Sub Principal Flute for many years. She has freelanced with all the major Scottish Orchestras and performed with various chamber groups including Paragon.
 
She has taught flute for over thirty years at the RSAMD in both the Senior and Junior Schools, where duties also include Techniques of Teaching lectures and coaching chamber music and wind ensembles. Further teaching commitments include Glasgow and Strathclyde Universities and the Music School of Douglas Academy as well as private pupils.
 
In addition to taking masterclasses at flute courses in Scotland and Ireland she is much in demand as flute / wind section coach for all the National Youth Orchestras of Scotland, West of Scotland Symphony Orchestra and Edinburgh Youth Orchestra.
