Giving with Gift Aid
Gift Aid is
a government scheme that allows charities like the Academy to reclaim the tax on your gift. By
simply signing a Gift Aid declaration, you can give us an extra 28 pence for every pound of your
donation. This extra help can make a real difference to what we can accomplish here at the
Academy, so please use Gift Aid if possible.
If you are a higher rate taxpayer, you can also benefit from tax relief as you can claim back
the difference between the higher rate of tax at 40 per cent and the basic rate of tax at 20 per
cent on the total value of the donation – a total of 20 per cent.
